The Only Popcorn We Crave

It's very rare that we crave popcorn; because how much popcorn can a person really eat? So today we decided to make what my grandmother will make when we just don't feel like preparing dinner. I've nicknamed it her famous Heart Attack in a Bowl. That's because all you need is some butter and a large amount of cheese to make your boring popcorn taste better than the movie version. Usually I only use cheddar cheese, but since we were running out, we mixed others and the result was quite tasty.

QUICKY DIRECTIONS:
1. Pop the popcorn.

2. Melt about 1 tablespoon of butter in a small pot and then quickly add the cheese. Stir frequently. Do not overcook!

3. Pour 1/3 of popcorn in a big bowl, using a spoon drizzle some of the melted cheese over the popcorn. Repeat until all ingredients are gone. Be sure to use the spoon and mix all ingredients.

4. Enjoy!

My Obsession: Bows

Those who see me on a daily basis know that it is rare when I am not wearing a bow somewhere in my outfit. Whether it is on my shoes, necklace, or clothing; bows are my go to accessory. I would always use bows as a trim for my garments for school, as shown above and on my illustration here. I'm even trying to perfect the bow hairstyle, but it is hard to do it on yourself. What is your current obsession?

Rock and Roll

Yesterday I went to the Hard Rock Cafe's practice opening before today's real opening. I had never seen a restaurant with such an interactive setting. From the giant touch screen that allows you to scroll through thousands of famous band memorabilia to the mini screens at the booths that lets the diners vote on which music video will be played next; there is no limit of things to do. To top it all off, the food at the Hard Rock is amazing from the nachos to the apple burger I ordered. I already can't wait to go back.

The interactive screen was too big to fit in one shot.

Our Favorite Anytime Treat

Although it was well over 100 degrees today, there was nothing that could stop us from making our favorite dessert. These Oreo cupcakes are some of our favorites, not only because they are fun to make but they are just as fun to eat. Top off each one with an Oreo and you're off to cupcake heaven. We also sprinkled a few just because we couldn't resist.

Give Me The Short Version

I'll be the first to admit that shorts are not a part of my daily wardrobe. Give me a dress or skirt any day. But after seeing Lauren Conrad in a pair, I immediately bypassed her hair (usually the first thing I check when seeing a picture of her) and focused on her California-cool style of shorts and sandals. So since it is finally starting to feel like summer in SoCal (I'm counting down the days until fall already), here are a few pairs that I would not mind incorporating into my short-less closet. Now I'm off to go do the Miniskirt Workout as Lauren has given me something to aspire to.

1. ANTHROPOLOGIE: Level 99 Carolina Shorts; $68.00
2. ALICE + OLIVIA: Rolled Cuff Tab Shorts; $198
3. F21: Frayed Denim Shorts; $22.80

Walk It Off

As I was getting ready to take my walk today, I realized I had a surprising lack of activewear in my closet. I usually rotate between three pairs of pants and my collection of old highschool shirts. The following are a few pieces that have caught my eye and would definitely make my walks more enjoyable. They might even give me inspiration to workout when I don't feel up to it. And who doesn't need a little inspiration now and then?

1. NIKE: Women's Running Shoe; $85.00 (In my favorite color)
2. F21: F6298 Sunglasses; $5.80 (The bigger the better to keep the sun out of your face)
3. VICTORIA'S SECRET: Off-The-Shoulder Tee; $32.50 (To continue my off-the-shoulder shirt obsession)
4. APPLE: Ipod; $199.00 (I never leave home without it)
5. F21: Multi Elastic Headband; $1.50 (The extra elastics are perfect for keeping hair in place)
6. VICTORIA'S SECRET: Vintage Slim Pant; $25.00 (Trendy and sporty)

Cupcakes and Cashmere Love

Before starting Daily Cup of Fashion, I was an avid blog reader. One of the most influential and captivating blogs I have come across is Cupcakes and Cashmere. I love the way Emily uses color in her beautiful pictures and the amazing recipies she posts. So for today's outfit post I thought I would recreate one of my favorite pictures she has published on her blog. I can't get enough of this romper. So if you have yet to check out Emily's blog, just click here and prepare to be amazed.

Hearts & Flowers

KORINA IS WEARING
Woven top: F21; Sunglasses: F21; Jewlery: F21;
Jeans: LEVI's; Shoes: Steve Madden

Although we rarely accessorize (maybe just one chunky ring and that's it), today was a perfect day to try something new. During a long day of shopping, we decided to choose one item we thought looked interesting, but would never wear ourselves. We highly recommend playing this little game on your next trip. It might yield astonishing results. For example, this woven heart print shirt surprised us because of how much we loved it. Either one of us has to buy a duplicate or we will be forced to share it.

Viva Las Vegas

The cutest mirror I have ever seen.

I'm finally back from Vegas and I had a great time. I listened to all of you and didn't forget to bring my sunglasses. Thankfully, because it was 108 degrees the whole time I was there. When I wasn't swimming I was out at Freemont Street souvenir shopping (I found the cutest orange bow ring that I still regret not buying) or eating the best nachos ever. It was great to visit the parts of Vegas I have never seen before; I found awesome new places to explore.

P.S. Happy Fourth of July everyone!

If it were purple, it would have been mine.

You can find the strangest foods at Freemont Street.

We tried so hard to finish the whole thing.

Vegas Here I Come

Tomorrow I leave for Las Vegas and I am incredibly excited. I can’t wait to sit by the pool and act like a tourist (although I have been there many times before). I, however, dread the thought of packing because I’m usually the girl that forgets something important. So this time I’m thinking ahead (well, more than usual) and here is my list of things I can’t live without on my upcoming trip. What are your vacation essentials?

1. ipod: for lounging around the pool
2. Bathing Suit: for lounging in the pool
3. Breezy Dresses: for the 100 degree weather
4. Sunscreen: can’t leave the hotel without it

5. Snacks: for the four hour car ride

My Kind Of Outfit Post

So far I've yet to do an outfit post and I thought that this would be a great way to introduce my first (but real ones will come eventually). Especially because I've been living in pajamas since my graduation about a week ago. Since I have my degree in Fashion Design, I figured I would draw the garments I have always wanted but could never find; like this tiered petal skirt. Maybe I will have to sew this for myself now.

The full version.

The flats.

My Obsession: Steve Madden

I've always had a slight obsession with Steve Madden shoes. It all started with a pair of red peep toe pumps. I loved them so much, it didn't matter that they were half a size too big. My infactuation continued when I spotted pairs of flats in rainbow colors at the Steve Madden store a while back. My collection has since continue to grow and I now have three colors to choose from. I hope to get a bright blue pair next.

Assymetrical Love

Although I have always been partial to the more symmetrical clothing out there, the recent purchase of an off the shoulder top has changed my mind. It is striped and oversized and perfect as can be. It has made me want to add more like it to my wardrobe, but when searching for another, I have realized they are extremely hard to come across. So I've done the search for you and posted a few of my favorites for lounging around the house. What is your favorite purchase as of late?

1. TOPSHOP: Pleated One Shoulder Tunic, $88.00
2. FOREVER 21: Oui Oui Lips Top, $12.80
3. H&M: Sweater, $29.95
4. VANESSA BRUNO: Cropped Off The Shoulder, $48.00

Home Sweet Home

Although we have yet to move out of our childhood homes, we have constantly discussed what will be in our future apartment. We have even scouted out the perfect kitchenware at Target from time to time. Some items would only be in our dream home and others are pieces that we have wanted for years and fully intend to get (hence the adorable Hello Kitty toaster). One thing is for sure, when we do move out into our future place, it will be full of colorful pieces that will make us happy to be home.

1. POTTERY BARN: Metropolitan Round Coffee Table, $299.00
2. ANTHROPOLOGIE: Breeze-Blown Bouquet Curtains, $138.00
3. IKEA: Tullsta Chair, $99.00
4. TARGET: Sunburst Mirror, $69.99
5. ANTHROPOLOGIE: Latte Bowls, $30.00 for set of 6
6. TARGET: Hello Kitty Toaster, $19.99
7. ANTHROPOLOGIE: Lollipop Mouse pad/Notepad, $10.00

I Li-love It!

Nails: Opi, Do You Lilac It?

It is very rare that I find I'm still in love with the same beauty products that I used in highschool. Besides my favorite gel eyeliner and mascara (but I'll save that for another time), there is one product that has stuck with me through all these years. OPI's "Do You Lilac It?" has continued to be my all-time favorite nail color; and not just because of it's adorable name. It's not only my go-to color, but I also get more compliments on it than ever (even from the ticket guy at Yankee Stadium). What is your favorite nail color?
